Dabu is a mud-resist printing tradition from Rajasthan, over 400 years old. Before any color touches the fabric, a craftsman carves wooden blocks by hand — each motif a separate block, stamped one at a time. Then a paste of black clay, wheat chaff, and lime is applied over areas meant to stay light, acting as a resist. The fabric is dyed, the mud washes away, and the pattern is revealed. What you're wearing took days to make, by hand, in the same way it's always been done.

4-ply handloom cotton is four threads woven together — denser and more durable than regular cotton, yet it breathes better because of how handlooms weave: with a slight irregularity that creates natural air pockets. The more you wear and wash it, the softer it gets. The indigo blue will mellow beautifully over time — not fade, settle.

Deep indigo is one of those rare colours that works everywhere. Wear it with white or off-white trousers to let the print do the talking. Pairs equally well with beige chinos for something more relaxed. The pattern is detailed enough that you need nothing else — no accessories, no layers. Just the shirt.

Hand wash cold or gentle machine cycle. Wash dark colours separately for the first two washes. Air dry in shade — keeps the indigo from greying. Iron inside-out on medium heat. The fabric will soften noticeably after a few washes — that's a feature, not a flaw.

At Naya Pannah, every garment is produced in limited quantities using thoughtfully sourced handloom fabrics. To help us maintain quality and reduce unnecessary waste, we offer exchanges and store credit under the following policy.

• Exchange or return requests must be made within 7 days of delivery.

• Products must be unworn, unwashed, unused, and returned in their original condition with all original packaging, tags, invoice, accessories, and the Tagloop security tag intact. Products returned without the Tagloop attached will not be eligible for exchange or store credit.
  
  
• We do not offer cash refunds. Approved returns will be issued as Naya Pannah Store Credit, valid for 12 months.
  
  
• A ₹99 Processing & Reverse Pickup Fee applies to all approved returns and exchanges. This amount will be deducted from the store credit issued or charged for exchanges.
  
  
• One exchange is permitted per order, subject to product availability.
  
  
• If your requested size or product is unavailable, store credit will be issued instead.

• Products purchased during any sale, promotional event, clearance, or marked as Final Sale are not eligible for exchange or return.

STORE CREDIT

• Issued after successful quality inspection.
• Valid for 12 months.
• Usable on all eligible products.
• Non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

PROCESSING TIMELINE

• Reverse pickup is usually scheduled within 2–5 business days after your request is approved.
  
• Returned products are inspected within 2 business days of reaching our warehouse.
  
• Exchanges are dispatched or store credit is issued within 24 hours after the product successfully clears inspection.
